I'm booking my trip to Disney for next month..I was wondering if I decide to buy a Disney dining plan can I buy it when I get there? Or do I have to buy it when I book it? I'm still not sure if I want to purchase it.

Hi, Ivonne!  The Disney Dining plan can be added to your reservation at any time after you've booked, but it must be added at least 48 hours prior to your resort check in.  You are not able to add the dining plan once you've arrived at Walt Disney World.  I would also caution guests who are interested in anything but the quick service plan to keep in mind that you'll want to make sure you book your dining experiences in advance to make sure you get the restaurants you want.  Even if you don't have the plan, you can still book reservations.

The things to consider when thinking about purchasing the dining plan include how much you usually eat on vacation, whether or not you want to be tied into specific reservations at certain times, and if it's easier for you to budget for vacation if you have as much paid off up front as possible.  My family doesn't usually come out ahead on the dining plan, but for some trips, it's easier to purchase the dining plan to know that's one less thing I have to worry about.

I hope this helps you make your decision!
