Welcome to planDisney, Stuart. Let's answer your question about your upcoming grand adventure, shall we?
While many of the guest rooms at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa have been beautifully refurbished, not all of them have been completed at this time. A good sign that they've all been updated is when
the pictures of the rooms at the resort reflect the newly refurbished rooms. All of the Resort Studios, however, have been refurbished so if you'd like to ensure you get a refurbished room, booking one of these is the way to go! In addition to the refurbishment of the rooms, the shops have been receiving touchups, with
M. Mouse Mercantile recently reopening after a refresh. While construction does appear to be wrapping up, there may be some closures here and there to ensure the entire resort is in tip-top shape and lives up to its grand title! But rest assured, the vast majority of the amenities are currently available and construction only takes place during the day so as to not disturb Guests' ever-important beauty rest!
When it comes to
dining at the
Walt Disney World Resort, this resort hotel has some of the best spots! If you're looking for a beautiful lounge with tasty drinks and delicious bites, you can't go wrong with the
Enchanted Rose. Get the
Lavender Fog and the House-made Truffle Fries. You can thank my friend
Amy C. for introducing those to me! And then
Narcoosee's and
Cítricos are fun and fresh...and both have been charmingly reimagined. Now I haven't yet experienced
1900 Park Fare, but I can't wait to, especially with the recent addition of Princess Tiana to the character lineup in the outfit she wears while exploring in
Tiana's Bayou Adventure! Plus, I need to try the famous
Grand Floridian Strawberry Soup.
And then there's
Victoria & Albert's. This dining experience is on another level...not just for the Walt Disney World Resort, but for dining across the board. We did this in April and it was truly exquisite and unforgettable! It's a bucket list item for sure.
In short, Stuart, while there is still construction going on at this resort, there is still plenty to see and do at this flagship hotel. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your time there. If you have any other questions,
feel free to reach out again!
Ideas come from curiosity,
