Hi! I’m about to book a vacation package for Disney world! I was planning to just put a deposit down. If I do that, will I be able to make a reservation for the specific parks we want to visit each day? Or must the package be paid in full before I can?

Hi there, Bridgett! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop back by and allowing us to help you plan another visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Congratulations on beginning to plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! It’s so exciting to be able to enter the magic once more and continue making unforgettable memories!

Booking your vacation package is step one in the vacation planning process at Walt Disney World Resort! Once you have made your selections and paid your initial deposit, you will receive all of the information you need to continue with planning other portions of your stay! This includes the theme park tickets that are needed to make your theme park reservations. Your theme park tickets will be automatically added to your My Disney Experience account once you have booked your vacation package. This will allow you to make your selections through the Disney Park Pass system. If you would like to check availability before making your reservation, you may do so through the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar online!

I love how flexible making payments on your vacation package is after you have paid your initial deposit! After your reservation is booked, you will receive your due date for your balance. As long as your balance is paid by your due date, you can make as many or as few payments towards your balance over time while still having access to your planning tools! This means you can choose to make multiple small payments or one large payment prior to your due date based on your individual needs!

If you haven’t already done so, I would also recommend checking out the “Know Before You Go” webpage prior to your stay! This is a great resource for any modified experiences and updated policies that may be in place during upcoming visits.

I hope you have a phenomenal time visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can assist with planning any other portions of your stay!
