Im going to book a Disney cruise in advance...how early do i need to book to get a good room? Is it better to get an inside cabin for a family of 5? Its during Halloween. Any tips would be great thank you

Ahoy Stephani!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am really excited to hear that you are planning to book a Disney Cruise!  There is no other vacation quite like sailing with Captain Mickey.  You only have to unpack once to experience the magic of many different ports.

Each stateroom category features different amenities, which vary by ship.  All are spacious with plenty of room for everyone and storage for all your treasure.  For the best opportunity to choose from many different stateroom locations and categories, book as far in advance of your sailing as possible.  I prefer to book a midship stateroom, as it has easy access to both the forward and aft spaces onboard.  This part of the ship also seems to have less motion while at sea, which makes me more comfortable.  My kids love to be on the higher decks so they are closest to the complimentary ice cream and pools!

For your family of five, you would need to reserve two Inside Staterooms.  On the current Disney Cruise Line fleet, these staterooms have a capacity of three or four guests.  On the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream, a family of five could chose a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom.  I would recommend you select which ship you would like to sail during Halloween and then review what is available that sleeps up to five guests.  The Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah are my favorite staterooms with plenty of room for a family of five plus your own private balcony.

Take a moment to check out the complimentary planning tools offered by Disney Cruise Line.  You can also sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions you have.  We love to make more magic!

Hope to see ya real soon! Angie
