I'm in same boat as Al from FL. Tempted by the medals, I last minute registered in WineDine (will be runDisney medal #40) but there are no hotels <$300 and I live 25 mins away. How EARLY can runners park (to avoid long traffic jams, road closures)?

    Hi Kathryn!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on your 40th runDisney medal, that is quite an accomplishment! Trust me, I know how tempting the medals can be, I'm already excited to add my toddlers Figment medal to our collection from the runDisney Kids Race during Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend!

While we won't know the official course until the Digital Event Guide is released a few weeks prior, last year runners parked at Epcot and were bused to the start at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. These buses began to run at 3 AM, so you would be able to get into the parking lot just before this. Using last years Digital Event Guide as an example, you'll want to look for the Driving Directions page which will give you detailed information on the route you'll want to take and the time the buses will begin to run.

If you are finding limited availability when calling runDisney to book at 407-939-iRun another option is to book directly through Walt Disney World. While availability fluctuates and is subject to change, right now for the night of November 3rd, Disney's All-Star Music Resort and Disney's All-Star Movies Resort are available for less than $150 per night, with Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort just above that.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
