Hi - I'm a bit lost on what "special" activity I can plan for my 12 yr old daughter. Her sisters are getting the Royal Treatment at the BBB, but she's done that many times and is now a bit too old. I'd love to plan something special for her.

Hi Brian!  What a sweet dad you are to treat your daughters to special activities at Walt Disney World!

If your twelve-year-old enjoyed the pampering at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the past, perhaps she'd enjoy a more grown-up spa experience at the Spa at the Grand Floridian.  The Spa offers "My First" Manicure, Pedicure, Facial, and Massage treatments for children ages 4-12, and the cost of any of those services is comparable to the packages at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  A twelve-year-old would also be allowed to have any of the adult spa services there. For more information or to reserve an appointment, call 407-824-2332.

Another option is a trip to the Harmony Barber Shop just off Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, where your daughter can get a fun hairstyle with colored gel and a generous sprinkling of pixie dust. The cost is quite a bit less than the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but they don't take reservations.

If your daughter wants a totally different look than her younger sisters, a trip to The Pirates League in the Magic Kingdom would be fun. For approximately $50 plus tax, she can be transformed with pirate makeup, a face gem, nail polish and a bandana. She'll receive a pirate name, a 5x7 photo, and then be sent off on a quest in Adventureland. Call 407-WDW-CREW for more information or reservations.

Finally, if pampering and makeovers don't appeal to her, maybe she'd enjoy a trip to DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney while her sisters are having their makeovers.  This indoor interactive theme park is filled with virtual reality experiences and 3-D games and is a big hit with the tweens.

Hope you all have a magical time!
