Hello, i'm just beginning to plan my son's 1st trip to Disney. How early can I start booking for 2023? I'm thinking about June of 2023.

Welcome to planDisney, Luis! There's nothing more magical than seeing the Happiest Place on Earth through your child's eyes for the first time!

Assuming you are considering booking a vacation package, Disneyland has two options: Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Packages and Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Packages. Both will allow you to stay close to the magic, which is super important when traveling with young children. Your Mouseketeer needs to have his regular nap time (even if it's just in the stroller), and if you are staying nearby, you can recharge too! We expect dates for 2023 to be released sometime later this summer or early fall, so keep checking the Disneyland website. You can also call the Walt Disney Travel Company around July or August at (714) 520-5060.

Make sure to pick up a 1st Visit" button at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. If you want the perfect souvenir, swing by The Mad Hatter Shop for his first set of personalized ears. And there's no better way to commemorate a first trip than by hanging out with Minnie Mouse and a few of her friends. Book a Character Breakfast dining reservation at the Plaza Inn, and you can celebrate over some delicious Mickey Waffles!

I hope your son's first trip is extra special, Luis! See ya real soon!

It's incredible how many people you can find who love talking about "The Most Magical Place On Earth!" I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at my monthly Bunco club for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
