Hello! Im attending MNSSHP on Friday. I was planning to just have a MK day and purchased single pass for Tron. My son loves AK. Can I instead spend the morning at AK then go to party at 4 and still use my single pass for Tron? I do not have park hopper.

    Welcome to planDisney, Kimberly!

I’m thrilled to hear about your upcoming visit and happy to help you plan a spellbinding day.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a perfect way to spend an evening in Magic Kingdom Park. I've attended twice and had so much fun trick-or-treating, sampling the specialty food and beverages, and experiencing all the incredible attractions and entertainment- all while dressed in costume! You are in for a frightfully fun night, but I should warn you: if this is your first party, be prepared to have the song from Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade stuck in your head straight through New Year's Eve.

As you know, your party ticket offers entry into Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 pm. The event officially kicks off at 7 pm, so those extra 3 hours are a great time to check out classic attractions like Space Mountain before the party overlay takes effect. While you'll be more than welcome to hop in the standby queue for any attraction during this window, it's my understanding that you will not be able to use Lightning Lane Passes with just a party ticket, as my panel pal Jessica explains here.

However, I just reached out to 2 Cast Members via the online chat, and both said you may be able to modify your TRON Lightcycle / Run pass to use between the hours of 4 pm and 6 pm before the party begins. I'm not able to test it out on my end, but you can walk through the modification process and see if the system allows the change. It is a bit tricky since you do have standard admission, but you plan to use it at another park that day.

If you discover that doesn't work, you can also try modifying your Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON to Avatar Flight of Passage since your son would enjoy spending the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park instead. It's my teen's favorite Animal Kingdom attraction and often has lengthy standby waits. Note that you'll be responsible for any increase in Single Pass fees, but will not be refunded if your new pass cost is less than your original purchase. I can't guarantee arrival windows for Flight of Passage will be available, but I'd recommend looking sooner rather than later, as your arrival date is fast approaching.

Another option would be to upgrade your standard theme park ticket to Park Hopper Option tickets, which would allow you to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park in the morning, hop over to Magic Kingdom later that day during standard hours, then stay through the party's end. If you go this route, you should have no issue modifying your Tron arrival window to match your expected arrival at Magic Kingdom before the park closes to daytime guests at 6 pm, assuming availability remains.

Kimberly, I'm sorry I can't give you a firmer answer, but I hope this offers some guidance. If you have any additional questions, please come see us again or reach out to the App and MagicBand Support team by phone.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
