I'm addicted to this panel!! Dream cruise in 97 days! Can you tell me -in your opinion- what the best dolphin encounter would be for 12 yo DD? Blue Lagoon & Beach vs Atlantis & Aquaventure? Swim vs. Encounter? DD is not a strong swimmer-does it

Lynda, welcome back. I'm so glad to hear that you have found the Moms Panel to be helpful for you as you continue to plan your magical cruise on the Disney Dream!

You had mentioned before in one of your previous questions that you have already been to Atlantis, so I'd recommend checking out the swim at Blue Lagoon. Life jackets are required for this swim, so even if your daughter is not a strong swimmer, she should be perfectly fine, as she'll mostly be floating (as will you!) with her lifejacket. For the small additional cost, I'd definitely choose the swim over the encounter. If you're going to pay that much for the encounter, it is worth every penny more to stay in the water a bit longer and have the dolphin propel you across the pool. What an experience! My daughter and I are really looking forward to experiencing this Dolphin Swim at Blue Lagoon this fall when we are on the Disney Wonder. I have heard such great stories about friends' experiences with the dolphins at Blue Lagoon, we're thrilled to get to go ourselves!

Plus, since you've already experienced Atlantis in the past, if you choose this Blue Lagoon swim, you'll get the added option of being able to stay after your dolphin experience at Blue Lagoon and spend the afternoon on the beach. There are a few return times from which you can choose once you're there, so make a day of it! When else will you get to relax on the beautiful sandy beaches of Blue Lagoon? If there are two times available for your dolphin swim, I'd recommend choosing the earlier one so you have play time at the beach afterwards!

Thanks for stopping back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lynda! You know we're here and always happy to help with any other questions that pop up before you set sail on your cruise!
