The Illuminations dinner package was booked, but I was able to get a reservation at 7:55pm! If we get done with dinner by 9 (when it starts) do you think we could step out onto the patio to watch?

Hi, Sydney! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I am so sorry to hear you are so far unable to grab a spot for the IllumiNations Dining Package at Rose & Crown Dining Room during your upcoming visit. This is such a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious way to end your Epcot day. The package offers guests a delicious meal before that evening's showing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. The meal includes your choice of appetizer, entree, unlimited alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages, and dessert from a designated menu that includes many of the most popular items from Rose & Crown Dining Room's regular menu. However, that 7:55 p.m. dining reservation is definitely a spoonful of sugar to sweeten your evening!

Sydney, when you check in for your dining reservation, you may ask the Cast Member to seat you at a patio table if available. In my experience, they have frequently been able to accommodate this request when I have had a reservation time similar to yours. You may have a short wait, but the wait is definitely worth it for the view! If you do happen to be seated inside for your meal, then the Cast Member serving you will give you a heads up shortly before IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth begins. You will be welcomed to stand in a designated area outside during the show, after which you can return easily to your table and finish your meal. Those dining with the package utilize the lower patio for their event and that area will be sectioned off. However, there are other areas that you will be directed to for viewing.

I do want to encourage you to keep checking for package availability. Guests' plans change often, especially in the few weeks leading up to their vacations. You never know when one may open for you! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
