Can you see Illuminations from the Boardwalk? Thanks for all your great help with planning!

    Hi Terry,

We love the Epcot resort area which includes the Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht Club. It is conveniently located just a short walk or boat ride from both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Our family loves the fun shows and activities going on in the evenings at the Boardwalk and my husband loves having the ESPN restaraunt nearby for our sports' updates.

You will have a limited view of Illuminations if you stand on the bridge at the end of the boardwalk heading towards Epcot and the Beach Club. Portions of Illuminations actually takes place on the World Showcase lagoon, with a beautiful lights, laser, and music presentation with parts shown on a floating metal globe. This part of the show is not viewable from the Boardwalk resort. You will be able to see the majority of the fireworks show in Illuminations.

If you do not have a park ticket, this is the best spot to view Illuminations, however if you have a ticket, we like to pop into the back World Showcase Epcot entrance, walk up to the bridge between England and France, and enjoy the entire show. The great thing about this viewing spot, is once the show ends, you are just steps away from the World Showcase entrance and can skip out and back to the Boardwalk and avoid most of the crowds.

    Happy viewing!
