Hi Moms! I'll be visiting WDW end of July with DH, DS(13) & DD(10). If we're at DHS & want to visit the Boardwalk & have dinner at ESPN, how much time should we allow to get there, eat, see some entertainment & return to DHS for Fantasmic?

    Hi Lauren,

Our family absolutely loves spending time over at the Boardwalk resort area, and we have munched our way through a number of hot wings at ESPN...yummy!

Most of the evening entertainments on the Boardwalk does not begin until approximately 6:30pm and the comedians, juggler and magician shows typically occur every thirty minutes. You may also want to allow enough time to wander through some of the shops and enjoy a treat at Seashore Sweets or the Boardwalk Bakery. The ESPN Club does not take reservations and while the restaurant is quite large, there is sometimes a wait for a table, especially during popular sporting events.

I like to allow 75-90 minutes for our table service meals, plus you will want to allow ample time to travel from the Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios. Boast run around every twenty minutes, but they do make two other stops before arriving at the park, so it can be an approximately 20-30 minute boat ride. if you are up for a short walk, there is a sidewalk leading from the resort to the park and on average, most guests can properly walk it in about 15 minutes.

All total, I would allow at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours to enjoy the resort, have dinner and get back to Hollywood Studios. Don't forget to plan on arriving to Hollywood Studios in enough time to get in line for the very popular Fantasmic seats.

    Have a great time!
