Hi there, I'll be travelling to Disneyland in October and am hoping to build a Saber. I'm just wondering though with shipping do you offer shipping internationally & am I able to buy a hard case for the saber anywhere in the park? Thank you

    Bright Suns, Kristi!

Welcome to planDisney and we're honored that you stopped by! I'd be happy to help prepare you for your journey to Batuu later this year. Black Spire Outpost is a feast of sights and sounds for the galactic traveler, and a hand-built lightsaber makes a wonderful souvenir from your visit.

Kristi, I happened to be on planet in Batuu when your question came up, so I was able to do some in-person research for you. International shipping is available for an additional fee at First Order Cargo as long as you have your purchase receipt with you (and obviously the item to be shipped). They will pack the item for you and it will take 10-15 business days to arrive. Unfortunately, there are a handful of countries that, due to customs issues, are not available for international shipping and Australia is among them. On the other hand, I have known several guests who have been able to fly home with their lightsaber as a carry-on item without any issues.

Lightsabers built through Savi's Workshop may come with their own cloth carrying case. There is a sturdier canvas case available at First Order Cargo and Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities, but I would not consider it a hard case. In fact, the ingenious Cast Member who was helping me suggested using a pool noodle as an alternative because that's essentially what the core of the carrying case is! Don't forget to make your reservations for Savi's Workshop up to 60 days in advance of your trip!

I can't wait for you to have this amazing adventure! Did you know that you'll also be visiting the Disneyland Resort during the height of Halloween Season? The Parks will be beautifully decorated and will put you in the mood for some Trick or Treating, especially when you see the characters dressed in their own special costumes!

Kristi, I hope that this response was helpful for you and that you have the most magical time here at the Happiest Place on Earth! If you need any further tips or planning advice, please feel free to come by again anytime!

May the Force Be with You,

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
