I’ll be staying at Kidani Village (studio - Savannah view) in December . Every morning I make my protein shake for breakfast... it requires ice. Are there conveniently located ice machines nearby?

    Hi Tracy!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It looks like you are visiting during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! I love Walt Disney World during the holidays. The Parks are decked out in their holiday fittings, and the Resorts are resplendent!  I think my favorite thing is that the Resorts smell like Christmas - there is a giant Gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian that is a must-see, and the tree at Jambo House (right next door to you in Kidani Village), is my favorite tree in all the Resorts!

So we share a morning routine! I have my protein shake mid-morning at the hospital, but every day, without fail, I need it! So I understand your desire for ice. Ice machines are located in Kidani Village and Jambo House next to the elevators on each floor, and at each atrium. I would suggest bringing a quart-size plastic baggie with you to the ice machines, much more manageable to transport ice in that than in multiple cups!

While you are staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village, make sure to have a meal at my favorite restaurant, Sanaa. The Butter Chicken and the Indian-style Bread Service are delicious! While you eat, you get to watch the roaming resident wildlife. A few meals back, a zebra stared us down our entire dinner, (I think he was eyeing the Garlic-Ginger Naan!) and when we went to the overlook after our meal, he came right up to the fencing. I’m convinced he remembered us!

Tracy, if you need any other help with planning, please don’t hesitate to come back to us. I hope you have a magical trip!
