Hi Jan,
Thanks for splashing by planDisney with a question today. I'm thrilled to help so let's dive right in!
First, I hate to be a bit of a wet blanket but unfortunately,
Disney's Pop Century Resort does not have any hot tubs. You'll find these at the
Moderate and
Deluxe Resorts so keep that in mind for future visits. I tend to do more sunbathing than swimming myself, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Pop Century pools were heated during my last stay in June. In fact, the water was so warm that I had to pop out and order myself a refreshing cocktail at the nearby
Petals Pool Bar to cool down. I opted for the Piña CoLAVA, which was as delicious as it was Instagram-worthy.
If you're concerned about chilly water I think you'll see that Queen Elsa won't issue a freeze warning when you visit. If you're looking for a quieter spot to relax you can check out the Bowling Pool in the 50s section or Computer Pool in the 80s & 90s area. These pools are still spacious but tend to be a little less busy than the central
Hippy Dippy Pool. I say go for the new swimsuit purchase either way!
Just across from Hippy Dippy Pool, you'll find
Everything POP Shopping & Dining which serves as the resort's quick-service food court and shopping area. You can walk in to place an order or plan ahead and
mobile order your food and beverage selections right from your
My Disney Experience App. We ordered our dinner and dessert while en route from Orlando International Airport and were able to pick it up as soon as we arrived. We made sure to add a cupcake to our order, but I hear that the Tie-dye Cheesecake is pretty groovy there, too!
Since Disney's Pop Century Resort is on the
Disney Skyliner system, you'll also be just a short gondola ride away from restaurants at some of the neighboring resorts. I love the Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes from
Primo Piatto at
Disney's Riviera Resort and I promise they are worth the Skyliner transfer at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to enjoy them. You can place a mobile order for those as well. While visiting Riviera you might also want to stop for a bite to eat at
Bar Riva near the pool or grab a coffee from
Le Petit Café which in my opinion, has some of the best coffee selections on Walt Disney World Resort property as well as the absolutely not-to-be-missed banana bread. In the evening Le Petit Café also offers a selection of small bites and cocktails as well.
I hope this helps you plan your best itinerary for dining and relaxation during your November visit. If I can offer any additional recommendations or suggestions please come back and let me know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
