Hi Carla,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear you're participating in the
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend in 2024! I just returned from the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend and I'm also looking forward to my next runDisney event weekend.
Unfortunately, after an event sells out there is no waitlist offered through runDisney. Occasionally events will open as bibs become available, however, this is not at a scheduled time, and there is no guarantee how many race bibs will be available. There are some groups you can find through social media that track when races reopen for registration. But as I said before, there is no set time when registration may become available with a limited number of spots.
Another way you can obtain a bib is to register with a
Participating Charity. These charities offer bibs to participants who meet a minimum fundraising goal. Perhaps you can find a charity that means something to you to help give you the extra incentive to raise the money needed. You’ll need to reach out to each charity to determine what the fundraising minimum is and if there are any other stipulations to registration.
I hope this was helpful, Carla. I know you’re hoping for a Neverland 5K race bib, but I know you’ll have an amazing time completing the Hakuna Matata 10-miler! As a fellow runDisney participant, I want to make sure you check out the
Training Guides offered by runDisney and Jeff Galloway. These training programs are offered for every race distance offered by runDisney. And don't forget about the new event offered during Springtime Surprise Weekend, the
runDisney Springtime Surprise Splash. This is a post-race party at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and tickets are available now! If you have any future questions, come back and see us at planDisney!
Wishing you many magical miles,
Kaitlin
