Welcome to planDisney. I'm glad you sent your question to us! Visiting the Disneyland Resort in the fall sounds like the best idea!
I just checked the
Disneyland website, and none of the Disneyland Resort hotels showed any availability at this time. I'm sorry! I know how magical it is to stay at the Disneyland Hotel! Since it's a couple of months away, it's always possible that a Guest will cancel their reservation and a room could open up. I suggest checking the website a couple of times a day to see if there is any last-minute availability.
In the meantime, you may want to book a spot at a
Good Neighbor Hotel as a back-up option. There are plenty of choices, and many are within walking distance (a requirement for me!). The Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance, Fairfield Inn by Marriott Anaheim Resort, and The Anaheim are all currently available (subject to change) and are close by. Just make sure to check the cancellation policy before booking in case the Disneyland Hotel becomes available.

Haunted Mansion Holiday is one of my favorite attractions, and I love walking through Cars Land during the "boo-tiful" festivities. There are also plenty of
seasonal treats and snacks around every corner, like the Mickey-shaped Ghost Cookie at
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park and the Pumpkin Pie Mickey Shake at
Schmoozies! in Disney California Adventure Park.
