Oh, Nikki, you know your kids so well! I am so glad you came to planDisney with this question.
I took my nephew to
Walt Disney World Resort when he was two, and I spent all day taking my
MagicBand+ off for him to tap Mickey Mouse. It was an amusement attraction to him that was as much fun as
Dumbo the Flying Elephant. When a friend took her young kids, I deactivated an old original MagicBand and gave it to her so her two-year-old would not be left out when his four-year-old sister had one. The battery was dead. It was deactivated. He didn't need it. He was as happy as can be.
Now, with MagicBand+, there is so much more than just tapping Mickey-to-Mickey at the entrances. The lights and vibrations make you a part of the magic. My absolute favorite is the heartbeat as you board your Doom Duggy at the
Haunted Mansion.
Even though your two-year-old doesn't technically need one, the line between "need" and "want" is sometimes non-existent. You can create a
MyDisney account and link a MagicBand+ to your child's profile so that, like Andy's toys, no one is left behind.
As Walt Disney said, "Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age and dreams are forever."
If you have any other questions as you get ready for your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, know you have a friend in
planDisney!
