Happy holidays, Rebecca! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your questions about your upcoming
Very Merrytime cruise on the
Disney Fantasy. I’m so happy to help.
Just like in ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, it sounds like your little ones will be nestled all snug in their beds after an exciting embarkation day! My boys are all grown now, so on my own sailing this month, I might be the one turning in early, lol. I completely understand wanting your stateroom set up just the way your family needs it.
You can always note your preference ahead of time by
calling Disney Cruise Line or using the chat feature on their website, but pre-arrival requests can’t be guaranteed. The very best way is to speak directly with your Stateroom Host once you arrive. They’re usually nearby in the hallway and are wonderfully accommodating, and you can ask whether they can have the upper berth or sofa bed made up right away and/or left down for your entire sailing.
The character appearances on Very Merrytime cruises truly shine! You’ll see Disney characters in their classic outfits as well as festive holiday attire. While the exact schedule appears only in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard, you can typically expect to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and even Santa Claus himself. Many characters wear holiday sweaters, scarves, winter coats, or Santa hats, and holiday-costumed appearances usually happen on the day of Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Deck Party. Also, I know that Belle often appears in her winter gown.
And yes, your 4-night Fantasy sailing does include
Pirate Night! It’s an evening filled with themed dining and fireworks at sea. For a recent 4-night Very Merrytime itinerary on the Fantasy, Pirate Night was on Night 2, but sometimes it appears on Night 3. Once you’re aboard, the Navigator app will show your exact schedule. Here's a fun tip: before you sail, peek in the app under Onboard Fun for Nights 2 and 3. If you spot “pirate makeover” availability at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on one of those evenings… that’s your Pirate Night!
I HO-HO-HOpe this helps, Rebecca!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
