I'll make the dining res for our 10 family members so we can sit together. The dining res will be linked to only my resort res number, will this cause any problems for the other families? We're all on the dining plan, and staying in 3 different rooms.

Hi, Nicole!  There is no problem at all with the other families dining on the reservations that you make and link to your resort reservation number.  Even if for some reason you are unable to make it to a meal, they'll still be able to check in and be seated.

When you make the reservations, however, you will also be the one responsible for any credit card guarantees or payment in full for things like Cinderella's Royal Table, which must be paid when you reserve.  You'll want to make sure that other members of your party know about cancellation deadlines, so you don't lose any money on no-shows at your meals.

I also wanted to let you know that if you are using My Disney Experience, you'll be able to link friends and family to your reservation.  It's definitely not necessary, but it's a great feature.  I'm traveling with extended family in December, and it was a great way for me to keep tabs on who was dining where on the nights we aren't dining together, but it also lets other family members see the reservations I made!

Have an absolutely wonderful trip!  I love big family trips to Walt Disney World - it just seems to bring a whole different kind of magic to the trip!
