What Identification do our children need for the cruise, we are travelling in Australia

    Hello Erin,

Thanks for cruising by planDisney! We are glad you are here. You and your family must be so excited about seeing the line where the sand meets the sea soon!

Having the proper identification for your cruise will certainly help you set off with smooth sailing, so let's get started on your question. There are two possibilities, depending on the specific itinerary you are sailing.

    1. For cruises departing from an Australian port featuring only Days at Sea (meaning it does not stop in another port before returning to the port of departure, including not stopping in New Caledonia), then the following identification is required for all Guests (17 years of age and younger):

    • Original valid passport (valid at least 6 months after sailing has ended) OR
    • Government-issued ID OR
    • Original Government-issued Birth Certificate.

    2. For cruises departing from an Australian port that include making stops in other ports, the following identification is required for all Guests:

    • Original valid passport (valid at least 6 months after sailing has ended).
    • In addition to an Original valid passport, Guests may also be required to obtain an entry Visa for Australia or New Caledonia based on nationality. It is each Guest's responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas.
Erin, since requirements may vary and could change before your departure, it is recommended that you contact your travel agent or government agency for more information on required travel documentation for your port of embarkation and all ports of call during your cruise.

Sailing aboard Disney Wonder is one of my favorite things to do! You are going to love Tiana's Place, one of the Rotational Dining restaurants onboard. You will experience live jazz entertainment and lots of festive moments during your dinner. When it comes to ordering dessert, be sure to dig a little deeper and enjoy Tiana's Buttermilk Beignets, Mama Odie's Chocolate Bread Pudding and the decadent New Orleans Banana Foster Sundae!

I hope this information is helpful, Erin! Please let us know if you have other questions; we are happy to assist.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
