Ideas on getting DS3 to cooperate with a touring plan? 1st trip to WDW coming up and we intend to use a touring plan, but wonder how we will get the little guy to walk right past something of interest because we're trying to stay on schedule. Advice here?

    Hi Patrick!

I bet you are getting excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

We use a Touring Plan each time we visit and we've gone since our kids were little ones. At Walt Disney World there are so many exciting things to do that it can be challenging to stick with a touring plan, especially with little ones in tow.

I would say that the key to success is to be flexible.

In most instances you can convince your little one that you are going to something exciting and that you will be back to experience the attraction/character/store that he wants to do. However, if it is something big, like he has been talking about Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin since you arrived and he sees it and is passionate about riding it, consider go off the plan to accommodate your little guy.

Most times you can distract him or even tell a little white lie. I used to tell my kids that an attraction was closed if we weren't able to go on it at that exact moment. But, with a three year old, facts and reason won't always work. Use your judgement and be flexible to make sure the vacation is magical for everyone!

    Magically,
    Stacy
