We could use some ideas for our 'First Night' at WDW in Aug. We are staying at CSR, arriving at the Orlando airport at 5:30pm and taking the Disney express transport. Probably won't go into any of the parks upon arrival or maybe we should?Suggestions? thx!

Hi, Angela!  There are plenty of options available to you on your first night, and they don't have to include going into a theme park.

If you DO decide you want to head to a theme park, one of my favorite first night things is dinner at EPCOT, followed by Illuminations.  If you arrive at the airport at 5:30, you could probably have a dining reservation for 7:30, and get to enjoy Illuminations, depending on the day you arrive and the park hours.

If you want to start fresh the next morning at a theme park, you could do a trip to Downtown Disney.  My girls like to enjoy dinner there, then they walk around the shops, enjoy an ice cream, and head back so we are up bright and early the next morning.  If we're coming in a little later, we'll just do Wolfgang Puck's Express or the Earl of Sandwich for a quick bite, which lets us still hit the shops!

I personally love the Coronado Springs Resort.  You could book dinner at the Maya Grill right there at your resort, and enjoy the incredible landscaping with a walk around your resort after dinner.  If you want, you can grab your bathing suits and have a quick dip in the pool after dinner.

I hope your vacation is fabulous!
