Hi Stacey! Welcome to planDisney!
Your trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is going to be extra spectacular because you're heading down at such a dazzling time of yEAR! Last year was the first time I experienced the magic and wonder of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort and it is a trip that I will remember forever. Between the snow falling on Main Street U.S.A., the beautiful
Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, and
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom there are so many ways to get into the holiday spirit.
Since you'll be in
Magic Kingdom on the days that you're looking to head to your Advance Dining Reservations at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you'll be able to experience the Park dressed up in its holiday best AND view the majestic Wilderness Lodge lobby looking fa-la-la fabulous. From Magic Kingdom it's just a quick hop, skip, and boat ride to dinner with the Evil Queen at
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White or a frontier feast at
Whispering Canyon Cafe.
Disney provides complimentary transportation by both bus and
water taxi to and from Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom. Personally, I think the water taxi is a quick and relaxing way to get from one point to another, especially if you time your travels just right. Last year, my friends and I were able to catch the
Disney Enchantment fireworks bursting over Magic Kingdom as we sailed back over from dinner. It was definitely the icing on an already magical cake! According to the
My Disney Experience mobile app, where Guests can find directions to anywhere on Disney property, the bus on this route takes approximately 33 minutes, while the boat takes about 40 minutes. I like to plan for at least an hour of transportation especially if I'm heading to a delicious dinner reservation.
Have a magical stay!
