Hi Chris,
Thanks for stopping by with such a great question about planning a magical Father's Day Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. Just like there are many parenting styles, there are many ways to plan a Disney vacation. Whether you're a spreadsheet planner or a last-minute reservation finder, all planning styles lead to magical memories.
All of the dads in my life share a love of
golf. I know
we've talked golf before, but in addition to 3, 18-hole golf courses at Walt Disney World Resort, did you know there’s also a 9-hole, family-friendly walking course,
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, and 2 miniature golf destinations,
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf and
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, on property? My family of four recently walked on at Fairways Miniature Golf course, which was just the right mix of challenge and fun. This Father’s Day, nothing says love like permission to rope drop the links.
My best tip for securing a Father's Day dining reservation is to enlist the help of the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Click the plus sign in the middle of the bottom menu and "Check Dining Availability." Adjust your party size and search by time. You can even select "Now" to view Walk-Up List availability at restaurants near you. What I love about searching for dining reservations in the app is that you can see a list of all the restaurants with availability at once. Dining reservation availability changes in real-time as Guests are constantly reimagining their Disney days. At this very moment, I see Father's Day openings at a few of my husband's favorite restaurants: Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom Park, La Hacienda de San Angel in EPCOT, and Sebastian's Bistro at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I hope you have similar luck finding a few Father's Day favorites to choose from.
Put an exclamation point on your Father's Day celebration by experiencing a
nighttime spectacular.
Fantasmic! is a new family favorite and is showing at 9:15 p.m. this Sunday, June 18, 2023.
My last tips for a magical Father's Day celebration are to give warm hugs. Savor the laughs. Experience the thrills. Eat the snacks. As a friend of mine once said, "Do all the things."
Choose magic,
Jennifer
