Hi Shannon!
The Holidays at Walt Disney World are amazing! The lights, music, and decorations really can't be beat. I always plan my trips to make sure I can experience the parks at their holiday best!
Generally, the Magic Kingdom begins hosting
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party during the first week of November. Last year, this was around November 8th. You can read all about it at the
Disney Parks Blog. In the week before this, the park is miraculously transformed from Fall to Winter. This changeover happens almost overnight. It is so fun to experience both seasons at Walt Disney World - especially when they occur in the same week!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is an event not to be missed. Our family's favorite part of the whole night is seeing it snow, yes SNOW, on Main Street, U.S.A. The Disney Parks Blog also shared some
not to be missed experiences at the event as well.
Disney Springs also begins hosting holiday events around this same time. My favorite experience last year was the
Christmas Tree Trail. I love seeing all of the differently decorated trees and strolling through the trail. You really are immersed in the Christmas Spirit! You can check out a few more holiday
event ideas here as well.
Last, but of course, not least, don't miss Epcot as it hosts the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. While this experience tends to start later in November, I hope you can experience it as well. My favorite part of this holiday celebration - aside from seeing the World Showcase celebrating the holiday in so many different ways - is the food! Epcot special events always amaze me with their culinary creations. Check out last year's
Foodie Guide at the Disney Parks Blog, but don't blame me if you suddenly feel hungry!
I hope you have a fun time planning your trip! Be sure to let the Disney Parks Moms Panel know if we can help with any additional details!
