I'd like to take my 3yr old daughter to breakfast with the princesses at the castle while my 3yr old son goes to Chef Mickey's with dad, & then all meet at Epcot afterwards. Do we need a park hopper ticket since we'll be at MK for breakfast only?

Any time you enter a theme park you will need to you an admission ticket, even if you are only going into the park for a meal. To enter one park during a day, you need a Magic Your Way base ticket. If, as in your case, you want to visit two or more parks during a day, you will need to have a Park Hopper pass.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
