Becca,
I always love getting a question from a fellow Hoosier!
When you are staying at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you will feel like you have been dropped squarely into your favorite movies! I do love all the areas, from swimming with Ariel, to diving through the ocean with Nemo, or roaming the savanna with Simba. But my favorite area is the
Cars section. The life-size decorations let you pose with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and so many of their friends from Radiator Springs.
The
Disney Transportation system has
buses that run regularly between
Disney Springs (the new name for Downtown Disney), and the Art of Animation. You can pick up a bus by Animation Hall, which is the main lobby building of the resort where the food court, store, and front desk are located. You can expect a bus about every 20 minutes or so. The return trip will be identical, but in reverse.
By the way, when it is time for you to visit
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the transportation runs the same. The buses for the park will start an hour before park opening time and run until one hour after the park closing time.
BONUS TIPThere is so much to do at Disney Springs, so make sure you plan enough time to see as much as possible. The
World of Disney store is a required stop if you are shopping for anything Disney-related. As for dining, there are great quick service and table service locations. My current favorite for a meal on-the-go is grabbing a burger at
D-Luxe Burger. If I have some time to sit, I crave the barbecue at
The Polite Pig!
Please feel free to
write me back directly again if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
