Hi, I'd like to know if all the moderate and deluxe resorts avec kitchenettes and a mini-like grocery store. I saw that at the Wilderness Lodge 2 weeks ago and found it very interesting. Up to now we've always stayed at an All Star Resort.

    Hi Sylvie,

The moderate and deluxe resorts all offer mini refrigerators in the rooms, which are small dorm-sized units.  They are very convenient for drinks, but not much more.

All home-away-from-home rooms (also known as deluxe villas or Disney Vacation Club properties) offer an expanded eating area.  Studio rooms have kitchenettes with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and wet bar.  One-, two-, and three-bedroom accommodations all offer complete full kitchen facilities.

Because of these offerings, the gift shops at moderate and deluxe resorts tend to be larger, with a small grocery/convenience selection.  Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members can also order groceries in advance, and have them delivered and waiting in the room upon arrival.  Now that is convenient!  We love this perk of our membership.

The Wilderness Lodge gift shop you saw offers many food items because it is also home to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, a lovely DVC property.

    Hope that helps!
