Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited that you are planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I just recently stayed at
Disney's Pop Century Resort, and it is such a great resort. I love being on the
Disney Skyliner route, and that Tie-Dye Cheesecake at
Everything POP is so good (I might plan another trip just for another slice).
But before I open up the website to start booking my vacation, let's chat a little about your questions. Let's start with your question about Pop Century Resort. The good news is that none of the rooms at the resort have carpet; they all feature wood-toned laminate/vinyl flooring. Now on to your next question. Nothing is a more perfect complement to an incredible stay at Pop Century Resort than a dining plan. Currently, you can only add dining plans to Vacation Packages, not room-only reservations, so if you have a Vacation Package, this is a super easy addition. If you don't, I spoke with a Cast Member, and they said room-only reservations can potentially be upgraded to Vacation Packages. This is subject to availability, of course, and can only be done by a Cast Member over the
phone. They'll review your current reservation, determine whether it can be modified into a Vacation Package (or is already one), and add a dining plan if they can.
I hope this was helpful, Renata! Before I let you go, I'm not sure when you are planning to visit, but if it is earlier next year, don't forget that the Disney Skyliner closes for refurbishment in late January. When that happens, you will need to use
