Hello Adriano!
I'm glad you stopped by with a question for us today. The
recently announced updates to Lightning Lane Entry have raised many questions, but I'm here to help you navigate through the facts.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lighting Lane Single Pass will launch as a rebranded, revamped version of Disney Genie+ Service on July 24, 2024. Since you'll be arriving on July 22 you'll use Disney Genie+ as it currently exists for the first part of your trip. You can purchase this service beginning at midnight on the date of your ticket and begin making selections at 7 a.m. EST each morning. After the parks close on July 23, those tech Fairy Godmothers will be hard at work making changes to the system overnight. With a flick of their wands (and maybe a few bibbidi bobbidi boos) Lighting Lane Passes will officially launch for guests at 7 a.m. the following morning.
When the system launches, guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or other eligible resort will be able to purchase and plan beginning 7 days before their check-in date. Guests staying off-site will have access beginning 3 days before their ticket start date. However, pre-planning will not be available to anyone before the program launch. Guests with resort arrivals on or after July 31 will be able to use that full 7-day pre-planning window, but anyone arriving before will have an abbreviated timeline for trips within this initial launch period.
At this time, guests will need to be within the US to purchase these options through the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Since you'll already be in the middle of your magical visit next week, you'll have access to purchase and plan for any remaining park visits on July 24, 25, and 26 once the program launches that morning. When planning future visits, you can purchase and plan for your length of stay (or length of admission if staying off-site) according to the standard 7 or 3-day advance planning period, assuming you have already arrived in the US at that time. Keep in mind that Lightning Lane Passes are completely optional purchases and stand-by lanes will still be available at attractions, except for those using a Virtual Queue.
I hope this helped Adriano. If you have additional questions during your visit feel free to chat with a member of the Guest Experience Team in the parks. They should be able to help with any tech issues.
Magic and memories,
Amy
