I'd like to make dining plans during one of the busiest weeks at Disney. My MIL is unsure if she'll join us. We are a family of 6 (incl 1yr old). Should I make reservations for 6 or 7? Is it easier to move a reservation up 1 or down 1 at last minute?

Hi, Allison! You should make the Advance Dining Reservation for seven because it is not always possible to add another Guest at the last minute, and it will be especially difficult to do so if it is a busy time of year. Your credit card that you used as a guarantee will not be charged for the one(s) that don't show up unless your entire party is a no-show.  If you have a dinner reservation for 7 Guests at a restaurant that uses the credit card guarantee policy, and only 6 Guests are able to make it to dinner, you will not be charged a fee for the one who doesn't dine. As long as part of your travel party honors the reservation, then there will be no charge to your credit card for the one(s) who don't attend. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
