Hello! I’d like to celebrate my daughter’s birthday in Disney. She’s turning 2 years old and I’d like to down 2 full days in your parks. Also I don’t know what hotel can work for us because she’s always running around. She loves animals and water parks.

    Hi Karem,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney today. I'd be more than happy to help! I'm so thrilled that you're hoping to celebrate your little one's 2nd birthday at Walt Disney World Resort this summer. I spent my own birthday there last year and plan to return again this fall. I think it's the perfect place to celebrate almost any occasion!

If your daughter loves animals then you'll want to spend some time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. She'll love getting a view of the giraffes, elephants, lions, and more on Kilimanjaro Safaris. I'd also plan to spend some time exploring the trails all around the park to find more animals and maybe some time at Affection Section where she'll be able to interact with and pet some animal friends. You'll be able to access this area by boarding the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch- an adventurous journey in itself! If you want to stick with an animal-themed celebration consider a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge where your daughter can wave hello to animals roaming the savannas just outside your resort window. My daughter and I stayed here for the first time just a few weeks ago and loved the peaceful atmosphere, variety of dining options, and the fantastic Uzima Springs Pool.

I'd also recommend Disney's Art of Animation Resort which boasts the largest pool on Walt Disney World property. I bet your daughter will love splashing around in The Big Blue Pool, almost as much as the colorful and larger-than-life character icons scattered around the resort. It's such a happy place to explore and offers plenty of green space to stretch her legs, as well as a playground and splash pad area, too.

While no visit to Walt Disney World would be complete without a stop at Magic Kingdom Park and an iconic photo in front of Cinderella Castle, you might also consider spending some time at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park with your little princess. She can splash the day away at Ketchakiddee Creek, an area designed especially for little ones. You can add the Water Park and Sports Option to your theme park tickets to experience all the fun.

Karem, I hope this helps you get started planning your upcoming adventure. I'd also like to mention that panelists are available to answer questions in Spanish if you'd like some more personalized recommendations. We're always happy to help!

Wishing your daughter a most magical birthday!
