Jambo, Lillian, and welcome to planDisney! You have twice the fun coming up with TWO
Walt Disney World Resort visits, so let's look at tips and tricks for booking experiences from the
Enchanting Extras Collection. You're going to have a wild time!
As you know, most tours and dining experiences can be booked
60 days in advance. The tricky part is that guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels can make reservations for the length of their stay (up to ten days) at that 60-day mark. Their window can reach more than 60 days, so availability can be limited for guests booking daily. But I still have some ideas to try!
You can choose a date range when searching for availability, so the more flexible you can be, the better chance you have of finding an open spot. Try to book hard-to-get experiences for later in your visit, and keep trying! I was in a similar boat a few weeks ago and couldn't find an open time for
Starlight Safari. But I kept checking on my mobile app, and sitting at a red light one day, I found a spot for my husband and me! My hands have never moved so quickly, Lillian.
Another tip is to
search for spots for a single guest. These tend to be easier to find and often open up when one party member drops out. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance, so if enough single spots don't open up before your visit, you can cancel the others. Or flip a coin to see who gets to go on this nighttime tour of the veldt!
My favorite part of Starlight Safari was using the military-grade night vision device. My tour guide even showed me how to position my phone's camera so I could take photos through the device. We learned about the wildlife we saw and how
Disney's conservation efforts help them thrive. I'm wishing on a nighttime star that you secure some seats on a safari vehicle!
Lillian, thanks again for this great question. I know it can be frustrating when we planners can't book the experiences on our must-do list. But persistence is key! I hope I've given you some tips to help you don a pith helmet and head off into the night. Stay safe out there, and stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
