Welcome, Melissa. It's so nice that you found us here at planDisney! I recently saw
Aladdin on Broadway, so I have Genie on the brain. As he says, "Your wish is my command," so let’s answer your question.
If you currently have a room-only reservation and would like to convert it to a vacation package that includes theme park tickets along with that reservation, you can
call a friendly Cast Member at the resort. Just keep in mind that, to bundle theme park tickets with a room reservation, you must purchase at least 2 days of theme park tickets. Otherwise, you can purchase your theme park ticket with the
Park Hopper Option separately. If, however, you already have a vacation package and want to upgrade your tickets to Park Hoppers, you can typically do so online. Just note that you cannot add the Park Hopper Option to one day of a multi-day ticket. It must be added to all the days. Like Aladdin discovering a whole new world, the Park Hopper Option can open up a whole new world of possibilities during your vacation.
If you're simply upgrading tickets to the Park Hopper Option, log in to the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Then click the three horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom right-hand corner and click the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. Once you find the ticket you'd like to modify, there should be an option that says "Change Ticket." Click it and follow the prompts. In no time, you'll be ready to magic-carpet your way across the Walt Disney World Resort! Just note that you'll be responsible for the difference in cost at the time you change your ticket. Once again, if you run into any issues, simply call a Cast Member, and they'll get it changed for you faster than a wish granted by the Genie.
The Park Hopper Option really is a game-changer when you're at the resort. While there is more than enough to do at each theme park for an entire day, sometimes the increased flexibility can be worth it. For my upcoming trip, I'm all about doing all the new stuff, and a Park Hopper will make it happen for me. I can be in
Magic Kingdom Park in the morning to experience the reimagined Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, then hop on the monorail to
EPCOT to experience the brand-new Soarin' Across America, and then use the
Disney Skyliner to wocka-wocka my way to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster featuring the Muppets at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. It’s the kind of Disney day that would make Genie say, "Phenomenal cosmic powers!" And it wouldn't be possible without a park hopper ticket.
Melissa, best wishes with your summer visit to the resort. Be sure to get there early on your arrival day because all registered Guests at
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels from May 26 to September 8, 2026, get
a free water park visit on their check-in day. I mean, even Genie would have a hard time topping a bonus Disney water park day!
If you have any other questions,
I'm happy to answer them! After all, like Genie says, "You ain’t never had a friend like me!"
Your planDisney Genie,
Matt
