MagicBand is my favorite accessory to wear on my trips to Walt Disney World Resort, and they really do add a touch of magic to your vacation.
Some guests, however, don't want the bulky combination of a MagicBand and SmartWatch on their wrists. The second generation of MagicBands (known as the MagicBand 2) comes with a removable center Mickey icon (some guests refer to them as pucks). Since the icon is linked to your
My Disney Experience account, removing it does not alter any of its stored information.
As long as you have an existing MagicBand (which is complimentary for all
guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel), you can easily remove the center icon with the help of a small screwdriver. The
shopDisney website has a Mickey-shaped MagicKeeper Medal for purchase, and it comes with a miniature screwdriver and instructions for removing the icon. The MagicKeeper can be worn on a lanyard or clipped to a key chain. My Disney Parks Moms Panel friend,
