Hello, Timothy!
Or maybe… hello to Timothy’s spouse? We typically travel with large groups of family and friends on our
Walt Disney World vacations, and we even assisted our son’s high school marching band plan a trip a few years ago, so I’ve had my share of
My Disney Experience hiccups. At one point my husband had two accounts, which is a big no-no, but we got it fixed. Let’s see if we can get things figured out for you!
If Timothy is going on the trip, maybe just change the email and credit card to his own. That way everything associated with him like his tickets, resort reservations, and park reservations remain the same. Then create a new account for yourself, link to each other, and any other travelers via
Family and Friends, and voila! Everyone is there, everyone can sign in to their own accounts, and you can make plans for everyone.
If Timothy is not going on the trip, and you want to change the name to yours, you can go this route as well. If you decide to go this route, you should double-check that everything switched over to the new name such as any tickets and reservations.
To make changes, sign in to My Disney Experience and go to your
Profile. From there, you can change the name, email address, passwords, and phone numbers in Account Settings. You’ll also see an option to update credit cards under Payment Method. If you are still having difficulty, you can also
call Web Support for one on one assistance over the phone. The fabulous Cast Members there have helped me on several occasions and are adept at fixing all kinds of issues with My Disney Experience.
I hope this helps get you organized for your trip! Have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
