Husbands dream for our next trip is to do the Luau Dinner Show. We will have a DS 7, and a DD 1. Will it be enjoyable for them as well. I know Disney offers in room babysitting, but its Disney, I want to have my lil ones with me so they can enjoy too!

    Laura,

I would not take my children. And if I'm being completely honest, I wouldn't go either.

We have been to the luau a few times and have always left frustrated and disappointed. We've found the food to be average, the service to be lacking, and the show to be too long to hold our attention. Even my husband and I felt that way...my daughters were bored stiff, restless and cranky, making us cranky as well. I'm a firm believer in second chances because anyone can have an off night, but I also believe in 'three strikes, you're out' and that's where we stand with the luau.

There are very, very few Disney experiences we've had that are not good ones, and this is one of those few. If it were me, I would look to another venue.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo, on the other hand, has always has great food, consistent service, and lots of fun for the whole family. It's a must-do for us, and I highly recommend it.
