Hi there, Mary Ann! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Visiting
Walt Disney World Resort allows us to enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy. While The Most Magical Place on Earth can provide us with an escape from the real world, sometimes we still need to tend to our real-life responsibilities during our vacations. Luckily, there is complimentary
Wireless Internet Access available to Guests throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you're using your
My Disney Experience mobile app or taking care of some work-related business, I think you'll find that the resort Wi-Fi is sufficient for all of your internet needs.
To access complimentary Wi-Fi, simply select the Walt Disney World Resort network from a Wi-Fi-enabled device. While I don't think that your husband should have trouble using the Wi-Fi inside one of the theme parks, he may want to consider visiting a nearby
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for his Zoom meeting.
Disney's Beach Club Resort and
Disney's BoardWalk Inn are both just a quick walk from the International Gateway entrance at
EPCOT. Both of these resort hotels have plenty of quiet spots in the lobbies or around the resort grounds that would be perfect for hopping on a virtual meeting. In addition to being away from the noise and excitement of the theme parks, the public areas of the resort hotels will be much less crowded. This should help with Wi-Fi speed for your husband's Zoom meeting. I have answered planDisney questions from the Disney resort hotels many times and never had an issue with the Wi-Fi.
If your husband would prefer to stay inside the theme park for his meeting, there are a few spots in EPCOT that tend to be fairly quiet that I can recommend.
Katsura Grill is a quick-service restaurant located toward the rear of EPCOT's Japan pavilion. The seating area for this out-of-the-way dining spot is beautiful and rarely crowded. If your husband would prefer an indoor location with air conditioning, I would suggest grabbing a cup of coffee and conducting his meeting at
Connections Cafe.
Mary Ann, if you're looking for something to do while your husband is busy with his Zoom meeting, I recommend going for a stroll through World Showcase. I love taking the time to explore the World Showcase pavilions when I'm visiting EPCOT on my own. If your visit is happening this fall, be sure to also grab a snack from one of the many global marketplaces that are part of the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
I hope you and your husband enjoy your visit to EPCOT! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. See ya real soon!
