Hi all! My husband 5yr old daughter and I will be sailing on the Dream in april. We are first time cruisers and want to make the most of our experience. We are currently booked for the Atlantis waterpark, but am now debating staying aboard ship? Suggestions

    Ahoy Julianne!
With February well underway, it won't be long before you are setting sail for your April Bahamian voyage!  Your princess's eyes will sparkle as you enter the Grand Lobby Atrium and see the stunning staircase and gorgeous cascading chandelier!  I'm sure you can't wait to experience all the magic and wonder offered on a Disney Cruise vacation!
This is a tough question because the Atlantis Resort is quite impressive, and if you enjoy a splashtacular adventure this is good fit for your family. But, on the other hand, the Disney Dream has so much to offer and enjoying the ship as your destination is never a bad idea. Even though the ship is in port, there are always ample activities and events offered onboard.
One factor you should consider is your daughter's height.  Guests under 48" are not allowed to experience the water slides due to height restrictions.  This may not be an issue if she is tall enough to ride or does not care for water slides.  She will be able to play in the water playground, Splasher's and float down the river with an adult.  This adventure also includes the opportunity to explore the marine habitat and see the ancient "ruins" of Atlantis which is interesting.
I hope I've given you some things to consider, Julianne.  I don't think you will be disappointed with either choice, but if you do decide to cancel, you have up to three days before your sail date to do so without penalty.
If you have any other questions, please let me know! I'm always happy to help.
    Have a magical day!
