For my husband, my 6 year old daughter and myself, which of the magic kingdom dessert party? I don’t understand the difference between post party, pre party and seats and sweets. Also, my daughter has a severe nut allergy. Does it make sense to book this?

    Hiya, Kimberly!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney! Your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is coming up so soon...the countdown is officially on! As my friend Princess Tiana likes to say, "Ain't nothin' gonna stop you now 'cause you're almost there!", and that perfectly captures this exciting moment.

I love that you're considering booking a Fireworks Dessert Party for your upcoming trip. And you're absolutely right, there are quite a few options to choose from! But hakuna matata...it means no worries! That's exactly what I'm here for! Let's walk through each one together so you can find the perfect fit for your family.

First, let's take a look at the Fireworks Pre-Party and how it works. You'll check in at Tomorrowland Terrace about 90 minutes before Happily Ever After begins, where you will enjoy a tasty assortment of desserts and beverages. Then, just before the fireworks start, a Cast Member will escort you to a reserved standing area in the Plaza Garden, giving you a fantastic spot to take in the show.

Next is the Seats & Sweets option. You'll check in at Tomorrowland Terrace about 60 minutes before Happily Ever After, where you'll be treated to a spread of desserts and drinks. Then, you'll head out to the restaurant's patio seating area to relax and watch the fireworks from your table.

Finally, there's the Post-Party option. You'll check in at Tomorrowland Terrace starting 60 minutes before Happily Ever After, where a Cast Member will escort you to a reserved standing area in Plaza Garden to enjoy the fireworks. After the show, you'll head back to Tomorrowland Terrace, where you can relax and indulge in a selection of desserts and beverages to end your night on a sweet note.

Now it's just a matter of deciding which option works best for your family. Personally, I'd choose the Seats & Sweets option every time because I love having a place to sit and relax while watching the fireworks. But the best choice really comes down to what fits your style and preferences most.

These dessert parties are incredibly popular, so you'll want to book as soon as your reservation window opens, 60 days before your arrival, to snag your spot!

Now, regarding your daughter's nut allergy, Disney is extremely accommodating with allergy-friendly requests. When you book your dessert party online, you'll find a "Special Requests" section at checkout. This is where you can note her specific allergy. You'll also see a message that says, "Please inform the server, Chef, or Manager on duty of any special dietary requests when arriving at the restaurant. All Guests have the opportunity to consult with a Chef or Special Diets Trained Cast Member if desired."

Kimberly, I hope this helps clear up how the different dessert parties work and gives you some peace of mind regarding your daughter's allergy. If any other questions come up, you're always welcome to reach back out to us at planDisney!
