Welcome aboard, Marycelis!
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed using Disney's PhotoPass service at the Walt Disney World Resort last year. It is so nice to let Disney's professional photographers capture your memories and have a cd to keep forever, isn't it? Well, I'm happy to tell you that Disney Cruise Line offers a similar photo service onboard it's ships. While it is separate from the PhotoPass and Memory Maker in the parks, it is very similar. Each guest on the ship will have their own Key To The World Card. This serves many functions, including key to your stateroom, chargecard and photo card. Each time a photographer with Disney takes your photo, he or she will scan your card to assign it to your stateroom. You can stop by Shutters, the photo shop onboard, anytime throughout the cruise to browse your album of photos or view them on the touchscreen kiosks. Then, purchase a print or two, or even opt to purchase a cd package with various or all of the images taken. Read more about it on the
Disney Cruise Line Photography page, where you can also click on the link to pre-order a cd if you'd like. Currently, the pricing is the same whether you pre-order or purchase onboard, but it certainly is convenient to purchase ahead of time if you know you'll be taking lots of photos with the characters onboard! Just know that unlike PhotoPass in the parks, you will not be able to access your photos after you leave the ship, so if you don't pre-purchase, be sure you don't forget to purchase a package or individual pictures onboard as that is your only opportunity.
Have fun as you continue to plan, and please stop back anytime before you set sail this fall if you have other questions, Marycelis!
