My husband has a work conference at Disney this fall and the kids and I are thinking of tagging along. I’d be taking the kids (age 7 and 4) on rides by myself. How would that optimally work at those ages as the only adult? Both kids like rollercoasters!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Natasha! I think it’s a great idea to tag along and visit the Walt Disney World Resort this coming October!

When it comes to the roller coasters, there are so many you can enjoy with both of your kids! My daughter’s first roller coaster was the wildest ride in the wilderness and she loved every minute of it! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom Park! She was four and just reaching the 40-inch mark when she experienced it.

For a more precise idea of what you will be able to experience with your kiddos, I invite you to take a look at the list of attractions for all four theme parks with tweaks made to the height filter. I have included a list of attractions guests 35-40 inches tall can enjoy. Included in this list is Disney’s Hollywood Studios brand new Slinky Dog Dash. You can find it in the new Toy Story Land, where you be able to explore Andy’s backyard. The best part is, guests only need to be 38 inches tall to enjoy it!

For other tips, visit our Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones web page. You’ll find lots of must-dos for your group.

Natasha, you might want to make a dining reservation for your family, that way your hubby doesn’t feel left out because the rest of the family is enjoying the day at the theme parks. Whispering Canyon Café is a family favorite for my crew. Their bottomless milkshakes make for a sweet ending to a delicious meal!

I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning. Don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any more questions. Helping you plan your magical stay is our specialty!
