My husband and I are going to WDW Jan 18-23. What will the weather be llike? will it be warm enough for shorts & swimming or keep it to jeans?? There will be snow at home when we leave! Any warmth will be nice!!

    Hi Alynn,

We were just there this past January during that same week. As a lifetime resident of the midwest, I can understand the need to look for warmth in January. The average temperature for Florida in January is low to mid seventies as a high and around fifty for a low.

We tend to bring a variety of clothes and dress in layers. In my experience the days often start chilly, warm nicely during the day and then get a great deal colder once the sun goes down. During our last January trip we had one day where we wore jeans and sweatshirts as well as our jackets and then two days later we were in shorts and went swimming.  Coming from colder temperatures, you will most likely have jackets and sweatshirts with you so that will help if the temperature does not cooperate.

I would suggest checking the weather for the Walt Disney World area during the week leading up to your departure and use that as a guide. Hope you have a warm, sunny week but to me a cool Florida day still beats the ice and snow of the winter.

    Enjoy,
    Margaret
