Hello! My husband and I are wanting to plan a trip to Disney this year with out 7 and 3yr old. We have a vacation plan the 17-26 of July. But we also have an October possibility which would be our 3yr olds b-day. Which option would be best for us?

While I can't know for sure what might work out best for your family and your schedule, I know that I much prefer going in October to going in July.  The Florida summer can be absolutely brutal - hot and humid are understatements!  You'll also be facing summer crowds at Walt Disney World during the month of July.  However, you won't have to take children out of school if you go in July, and I can guarantee you that the weather will be warm enough for you to enjoy the pools and the water parks!

October offers weather that's a little more comfortable, but still warm enough to swim for the most part.  The crowds are lighter, although you'll want to be a little careful of holiday weekends, like Columbus day.  October features Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, an event my daughters hate to miss; and you'll be able to enjoy EPCOT's Food and Wine Festival!

With young children, I find the heat of the summer makes them tired and crabby much more quickly, but sometimes, July is the only option for us to vacation.  You won't have a terrible time if you go in July - it is Disney World, after all!  But my family prefers the October vacation a bit more!
