Hi! My husband and I are visiting soon and want to try the new Boardwalk Ice Cream Shop. Can we park at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn even if we are not staying there? If not, what might be the best way to grab some ice cream without a travel hassle? Thanks!

Welcome back to planDisney, Kristin! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! You are speaking my language, friend, as the only thing that can get me more excited about a visit to Walt Disney World is thinking about all of the sweet treats I am sure to indulge in while there.

I love trying new restaurants, especially when the restaurant menu features ice cream as the main attraction, and it sounds like you were just as excited as I was to hear about the opening of the new BoardWalk Ice Cream Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk. Since you will not be able to park at Disney’s BoardWalk without a confirmed resort reservation or advance dining reservation, I recommend parking at Disney Springs and taking the bus transportation to Disney’s BoardWalk.

I hope this information gets you on your way to indulging in one of the fabulous ice cream sundaes I see featured on the menu for the new BoardWalk Ice Cream Shop! Please stop back by planDisney any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
