Hello! My husband and I will be visiting Disney world this fall. My husband is a Marine Corps veteran and is very sensitive to fireworks. Do you have any suggestions for avoiding the fireworks while inside the park? Thanks for your help!

    Hello there Elizabeth!

I'm so excited to hEAR that you and your husband will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this fall! I can certainly understand your concern regarding your husband's sensitivity to fireworks and wanting to avoid any unnecessary stress during your vacation.

Be sure to pick up a Times Guide when entering the park so that you both know the exact time of the firework display. You may want to consider having your husband wear earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones if he is wanting to view the firework display, but not hear the loud booms or popping. If he is also sensitive to the flashes of light, I would suggest that you experience an indoor attraction during the firework show. For example, you may consider experiencing Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, 'it's a small world," The Hall of Presidents, Mickey's PhilharMagic, or Enchanted Tales with Belle at Magic Kingdom Park. Another option is to enjoy a late dinner during the firework extravaganza. If your husband is also sensitive to sudden loud sounds, you may want to ask a Cast Member at the entrance of each attraction if there will be any on that particular attraction.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any other questions regarding a specific park, please don't hesitate to visit me again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Elizabeth!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
