Hi, Yolanda, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
How wonderful that you're considering taking your grandchildren to
Walt Disney World Resort! My grandparents took me on my first Walt Disney World Resort vacation way back in 1983, and I still have such fond memories of that trip. I'm sure you and your husband will make the same kinds of magical memories with your own grandchildren, too.
In order to qualify for Walt Disney World's
4-Day and 5-Day Military Promotional Tickets, you would need to have a valid U.S. Military ID. As veterans, this would probably be a DD Form 2, DD Form 1173 or 1173-1, or DD Form 2765. If you have any of these forms of Military photo ID, you may present it at your local military base's MWR/ITT ticket office or you may purchase tickets via email from the
Shades of Green ticket office. These forms of ID will qualify you for the Military Promotional Tickets, but they also mean you'll be able to purchase a specially-priced
Memory Maker and that you may qualify for discounts on stays during select dates at
select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Active and retired members of the U.S. Military may also use their valid Military ID to reserve rooms at
Shades of Green, a hotel at Walt Disney World Resort for the exclusive use of members of the U.S. Military and their families.
If you have any other questions about Military tickets, discounts or Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays, please don't hesitate to ask, Yolanda. We'd be happy to help!
