My husband is Type 1 diabetic and has chronic kidney disease. He has to limit his protein intake (meat, dairy, soy) to 6 oz a day, 3 oz per meal. Are there any particular restaurants you'd recommend that are more accommodating to special diets like his?

Hi Cheryl! Walt Disney World is very accommodating of guests with special dietary requirements.  All of the table-service restaurants are able to honor special requests with advance notice. Disney has a department dedicated to helping guests with food allergies and dietary concerns. I recommend that you email them at specialdiets@disneyworld.com as soon as possible.  They will send you a form to complete about your husband's dietary needs, and they will contact the chefs and managers at the restaurants in which you wish to dine so that his needs can be met.  They can also let you know which quick-service dining locations could best accommodate him. Click here for more information on special dietary requests at Disney.

Hope you and your husband have a magical trip!
