Jonathan from MN Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My husband and I tries to book our lightening pass today and it keeps stating we’re not eligible for Magic Kingdom. We are going on Monday 3/16.

Hey there, Jonathan! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. You'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort in a couple of sleeps, and it sounds like you're hoping to take advantage of the fantastic Lightning Lane entrances during your visit. Let's do some troubleshooting!

My first suggestion is to call the App and MagicBand Support line. They can see your account information and admission type to understand better what's going on. You can also reach out to a Cast Member via the "Chat with Us" feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app near the bottom of the Welcome Screen.

In the meantime, I do have a couple of things to try. If your theme park tickets are not date-based, you might need to make a Theme Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, if that's where you'd like to begin your day. I'm an annual passholder, so I'm required to make reservations on most days, and the system will only allow me to purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the park I have reserved.

And of course, check that your theme park tickets are linked to your account and that you're logged in. You can see your tickets in your mobile app by tapping "My Tickets & Passes" on the Welcome screen, then swiping through to view all your linked tickets. If you don't see your tickets, tap the blue plus sign in the top right and follow the prompts to link them.

Also, some Special Offers for tickets don't include every theme park. For example, the current Disney+ offer is a 3-Park, 3-Day ticket, but Magic Kingdom is not included. So double-check your admission details to make sure you're eligible to select Magic Kingdom.

I did a quick experiment in my app this morning, and I see that the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is still available for purchase at Magic Kingdom, but the single passes for TRON Lightcycle / Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are currently sold out.

My final tip is to stop by the magical blue umbrellas once you're in the theme parks. The Guest Experience Team is like Sorcerer Mickey and can help solve almost any problem. If you hit any glitches while you're here, they'll become your best pals.

Jonathan, I hope you solve the Lightning Lane mystery and have a wonderful trip. Eat a churro for me, and remember to stop by planDisney with all your planning questions.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
